Multi-Week FAQs

Who can join a multi-week class? Do I have to have experience?

While multi-week courses are a great next step if you've taken an intro class from us, beginners are more than welcome! These courses are designed for complete beginners, but we also have an agenda for intermediate participants to go at their own pace while still having the support of an instructor.

What can I expect to take home?

4 week students will be making up to 6 final pieces, 6 week students will be making up to 8 final pieces, and 8 week students will be making up to 12 final pieces. At our studio, we believe that the journey of skill development is just as important as the destination. Our primary focus for multi-week classes is on nurturing your pottery skills, so you leave with a new set of capabilities you can add to your repertoire.

What supplies are included? Do I need to bring anything?

You’ll have access to, and use of studio tools, reclaim clay, and class glazes.  If you’d prefer new bagged clay, you can purchase it at the studio. You are welcome to bring in your own glazes and underglazes, as long as they’re midrange or cone 6 glazes.

We do ask that you bring your own apron and a couple of rags.

What are my next steps after the course is over?

Want to continue your pottery journey? Many of our multi-week students will either take another multi-week course if they're feeling they could benefit from additional instructor support, or sign up for a studio membership. If you're feeling ready to work on your own without an instructor, you can sign up for a studio membership with a discounted rate on your first month, available exclusively to past multi-week students.

Is there a minimum age requirement?

Typically these courses are recommended for ages 18+, but we may be able to accommodate high school students. Contact us if you have any specific questions!
