Service Description

Are you ready to get your hands dirty and create something spooktacular? Join us for an unforgettable 2-hour ceramic monster mug workshop! Whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced potter, this workshop is designed for every skill level (kids will need the help of a parent). Our instructors will lead you through the process of hand-building your very own ceramic monster mug. From building your mug to adding eerie surface decorations, we've got you covered. This workshop allows you to let your imagination run wild as you create a unique, spooky (or not so spooky) masterpiece. After the workshop, we'll take care of the kiln-firing process. You'll return in a few weeks to pick up your monster mug, complete with a single color glaze of your choice. Dress comfortably and be prepared to embrace your inner monster. We recommend wearing clothes that you don't mind getting a little messy. We'll provide the aprons and the fun! Workshop Details: -Date & Time: Wednesday September 24th 5:00-7:00pm, Sunday September 28th 3:00-5:00pm, and Sunday October 26th 3:00-5:00pm. -Location: Kilnfolk Clay Studio, 108 W 6th Street, Vancouver, WA 98660 Metered street parking downtown, or secure parking is available one block away in the Lot #18 Park 'n Go Vancouver Center Garage. -Price: $65 per person -What's Included: A two hour guided workshop on how to hand-build and add spooky surface design to a ceramic mug, and one single color glazed and fired mug to be picked up a few weeks after the workshop. -Attire: Dress ready to play with clay and get a little messy! Cancellation Policy

For a full refund or free rescheduling, you must notify us 7 days before your scheduled class/activity. Within 7 days of your class there is no refund but you can choose to reschedule within the first five days of that week prior to your class and must pay 20% of the class price to reschedule. There will be NO reschedule/cancellation for any reason within 48 hours of the class, and no refund will be offered. Any refund offered will be subject to a 4% processing fee. We have this policy in place to protect our employees and artists who are booked specifically for this event, and also other customers who might have had a chance to book if the seat was available. Please understand we are a small service based business and lots of planning and supplies go into making these classes possible. Please be aware this is one of the most generous cancellation and rescheduling policies in our industry, and please don't give our staff a hard time for adhering to it- they are just doing their job. Thank you for understanding! DISCLAIMER: No guarantee is offered, explicit or implied, regarding the quality or serviceability of fired work. Every precaution will be taken to ensure the best possible outcome for every firing. Use of the studio indicates you agree that you will not hold the studio, its volunteers, or any other person associated with the studio responsible for work that is damaged or defective in any way while in the studio at any stage of the process. Please note that all class pieces need to be picked up within 3 months of the class date. It takes an average of 3-4 weeks for pieces to move through the finishing & kiln firing process. You will be notified via email when your piece is ready to be picked up. If you don't hear from us, please give us a call to verify the status of your piece before coming in. After 3 months, pieces will be donated to make room on the studio shelves. While working with clay is relatively safe, there are hazards and risks. These risks include the possibility of injuries or illness related to the use of the studio, materials, or equipment. Use of the studio indicates you agree that you have been informed of the risks and have signed the Kilnfolk waiver.

Attention Students!

If you are signing up for a multi-week or workshop that includes open studio time please click below to create an account on our website. Be sure to use the email that you used to book your class. You then will be able to access the Open Studio Sign Up Page under Memberships. Each open studio session is just a start time and is good for up to 3 hours. Open studio time must be used in one day and cannot be split between multiple days. Multi-Week open studio sessions do not roll over and must be used in the week they are allotted.
