Join us for a special Father's Day pottery wheel class for kids and parents! All ages.
Service Description
This Father's Day, spend time with dad in a unique and creative way! This special morning session of our Family Wheel class is open to all ages, and makes a great gift. This class will be instructed by one of our talented ceramicists who will guide you step-by-step through the process of throwing on the pottery wheel. If you create a piece you’d like to keep, our studio staff will trim, fire, and glaze your piece at no additional cost, which can then be picked up in a few weeks. Otherwise, your clay will be recycled for our next classes to practice with! You can keep additional pieces for $25 each. This class is open to all ages- PLEASE READ THE BELOW INFO ON HOW TO BOOK ACCORDING TO AGE: -Kids 8-17 can use the wheel on their own- select the "child 8-17" ticket price option during checkout. -If you would like to join class and work at a wheel alongside your child, please select the "adult 18+" ticket price at checkout. -If your child is under 8, we request that a parent be present and assist at the wheel, but you only need to purchase one "child under 8" ticket at checkout. Note that this option does not include a piece to take home, but can be purchased separately. -Family Wheel is also open for adults to join on their own (purchase the "adult 18+" ticket at checkout), but please note that this is a kid-friendly class. If you have questions about class or the booking process, please call the studio! Please arrive 5 minutes early to grab an apron and find a seat at the wheel. :) Class Details: -Date & Time: Sunday, June 15th 9:30-11:00am -Location: Kilnfolk Clay Studio, 108 W 6th Street, Vancouver, WA 98660 Secure parking is available right down the street in the Lot #18 Park 'n Go Vancouver Center Garage. -Price: $35 for kids under 8, $45 for kids 8-17, $75 for adults -What's Included: 1.5 hrs of time to try out the pottery wheel, guided by an instructor. We will glaze and fire your piece to be picked up a few weeks after the workshop. -What to wear: Dress comfortably and be prepared to get your hands dirty! -What to bring: Feel free to bring an apron to class with you! Cancellation Policy
For a full refund or free rescheduling, you must notify us 7 days before your scheduled class/activity. Within 7 days of your class there is no refund but you can choose to reschedule within the first five days of that week prior to your class and must pay 20% of the class price to reschedule. There will be NO reschedule/cancellation for any reason within 48 hours of the class, and no refund will be offered. Any refund offered will be subject to a 4% processing fee. We have this policy in place to protect our employees and artists who are booked specifically for this event, and also other customers who might have had a chance to book if the seat was available. Please understand we are a small service based business and lots of planning and supplies go into making these classes possible. Please be aware this is one of the most generous cancellation and rescheduling policies in our industry, and please don't give our staff a hard time for adhering to it- they are just doing their job. Thank you for understanding! DISCLAIMER: No guarantee is offered, explicit or implied, regarding the quality or serviceability of fired work. Every precaution will be taken to ensure the best possible outcome for every firing. Use of the studio indicates you agree that you will not hold the studio, its volunteers, or any other person associated with the studio responsible for work that is damaged or defective in any way while in the studio at any stage of the process. Please note that all class pieces need to be picked up within 3 months of the class date. It takes an average of 3-4 weeks for pieces to move through the finishing & kiln firing process. You will be notified via email when your piece is ready to be picked up. If you don't hear from us, please give us a call to verify the status of your piece before coming in. After 3 months, pieces will be donated to make room on the studio shelves. While working with clay is relatively safe, there are hazards and risks. These risks include the possibility of injuries or illness related to the use of the studio, materials, or equipment. Use of the studio indicates you agree that you have been informed of the risks and have signed the Kilnfolk waiver.

Attention Students!
If you are signing up for a multi-week or workshop that includes open studio time please click below to create an account on our website. Be sure to use the email that you used to book your class. You then will be able to access the Open Studio Sign Up Page under Memberships. Each open studio session is just a start time and is good for up to 3 hours. Open studio time must be used in one day and cannot be split between multiple days. Multi-Week open studio sessions do not roll over and must be used in the week they are allotted.
