Build a Bird Feeder
Build a Bird Feeder
Build a ceramic bird feeder and add a touch of handmade charm to your yard!
Service Description
Imagine sipping your morning coffee and watching through the window while your new feathered friends are enjoying breakfast from a bird feeder that YOU made! Join us for a 2 hour hand building workshop where you will create your own ceramic bird feeder. You will build your bird feeder using rolled slabs, and be able to customize the cut-outs, add textures, carve designs, and sculpt any other surface decorations as desired. No prior experience necessary- an experienced instructor will be there to guide you through every step of the way. After the workshop, we will bisque fire your piece, then you have two choices when it comes to glazing: 1) Our staff can dip glaze your piece to one color of your choice from our selection of class glazes. This is included in the price of the workshop. 2) You can come back to custom glaze your piece using our paint-your-own pottery glazes. We have over 40 colors to choose from, and you can use as many as you'd like. An additional charge of $20 will be applied on the day of the class if you wish to come back and paint your piece. Here at Kilnfolk, we are all about creativity fostering connection with friends and family, so we encourage you to bring your loved ones along to share in this experience.
