Service Description

Get your hands muddy with this intro to wheel class. Your instructor will walk you through the basics of wheel throwing during this 2 hour session- from centering your clay to pulling up the walls of your piece. Whether you are a total beginner or looking to refresh your skills, this is the class for you! Our team will trim, glaze, and fire your piece (as long as you have a viable piece at the end of class), which will be ready to pick up in a few weeks. If you make additional pieces that you would like to keep, you can pay an additional $25 per piece after your class, and we will finish them as well. Want to get hands on with glazing your piece? Ask your instructor about one of our upcoming glaze lessons. If you end up loving this experience and would like to learn the full pottery process, we’d recommend one of our multi-week classes as the next step in your pottery journey. Class Details: -Dates & Times: Fridays and Saturdays from 3-5pm. Please aim to arrive 5 minutes early so we can get started on time. -Location: Kilnfolk Clay Studio, 108 W 6th Street, Vancouver WA 98660. Short skirts and dresses are not advised as you will be sitting with your legs around the pottery wheel.
