Get your hands muddy with this intro to wheel class. This is the little brother of our 2 hour intro to wheel session. Your instructor will walk you through the basics of wheel throwing during this 1 hour session. This class will be fast and dirty but will give you a wholesome intro to pottery and and good idea of whether you want to continue on! PLEASE arrive at least 5 minutes early. :) Firing is not included in this class so come and let go of expectations and just play with some clay! If you do make something that you would love to keep, we will dry, fire and glaze it for you for $20 per piece. The additional $20 is to be paid after class so you can decide if you want to keep your creation or leave the clay to be recycled. Ages 12 and up please! If you are interested in learning the full pottery process check out our multi-week classes! Dress Code: You will be squatting around a wheel so it's best not to wear short skirts/dresses. In addition, long nails make it very difficult to be successful at the wheel so plan accordingly! As this is a fast class we ask that you be five minutes early to the session so that we can get started on time. :) Cancellation Policy: A refund will be issued if requested 4 days or 96 hours before the class begins. Use of the studio indicates you agree that you will not hold the studio, it’s volunteers, or any other person associated with the studio responsible for work that is damaged or defective in any way while in the studio at any stage of the process. This includes the casualties of the kiln. While working with clay is relatively safe, there are hazards and risks. These risks include the possibility of injuries or illness related to the use of the studio, materials, or equipment. Use of the studio indicates you agree that you have been informed of the risks and have signed the Kilnfolk waiver.

Cancellation Policy

For a full refund, you must cancel your booking 7 days before your scheduled class/activity. If you need to reschedule within 7 days, we will charge a 20% fee, however there will be NO rescheduling for any reason within 48 hours of the class, and no refund will be offered. Any refund offered will be subject to a 3.7% processing fee. We have this policy in place to protect our employees and artists who are booked specifically for this event, and also other customers who might have had a chance to book if the seat was available. Please understand we are a small service based business and lots of planning and supplies go into making these classes possible. Please be aware this is one of the most generous cancellation and rescheduling policies in our industry, and please don't give our staff a hard time for adhering to it- they are just doing their job.
