8 spots left

Service Description

In this three day summer camp, kids ages 8-13 will be introduced to the world of ceramics! Each day your child will get three hours of supervised instruction as they learn how to use the pottery wheel. They will also learn other basic ceramic techniques like surface design. Only 8 spots are available per session, so your child will have the opportunity to receive some one-on-one instruction throughout class. This summer camp includes 4 finished and fired pieces that students will get to take home. All of the tools and materials will be provided. Please drop your child/children off 10 minutes before 9:00am so that class can start on time, and arrive 15 minutes before class is over at 12:00pm. Don't forget to have your kiddos eat breakfast beforehand! Have kids dressed for a mess, and avoid dresses or skirts, which make it hard to straddle the pottery wheel. Nothing else is required, although bringing something to drink (water bottle) is suggested. Our experienced instructors are great at working with kids, and will do everything they can to help your child succeed in creating their three pieces of included pottery. Our ultimate goal is that these kids get the opportunity to experience how they have their own unique creative side, and to give them a glimpse of how much the world of ceramics has to offer. Our staff will fire the kids' pieces and contact you in 2-3 weeks for pickup.
