Service Description

Advance your abilities past small bowls and mugs with this one day intermediate class focused on learning the techniques behind throwing and shaping large cylinders. Perfect for members, home potters, or those who are already comfortable throwing on the wheel. This is NOT a beginner-level class- please do not book this class if you are not comfortable working independently at the wheel. Two dates are available for this class: Wednesday, November 8th and Wednesday December 13th from 6-9pm. At our studio, we believe that the journey of skill development is just as important as the destination. Our primary focus for intermediate classes is on nurturing your pottery skills, so you leave with a new set of capabilities you can add to your repertoire. You will have an informative demonstration from Eric (get ready to be WOWed), along with guided instruction as you practice on the wheel. Let’s see how big we can go! Please bring your own apron and ware boards/boxes for transporting your wares home. The price of this workshop is $110 which includes a two hour demo class in throwing large pieces on the wheel. You will be able to take what you make home with you and bring it back for bisque firing included in this price. If you would like use our studio to trim and/or glaze your work, you will be able to purchase studio day passes for $40/day after the workshop to be used at a later date. Additional glaze firing fees will apply.
