- 75 US dollars$75
- West 6th Street
Service Description
Explore the nuances of design in this intermediate-level class as you learn how to create nesting bowls that fit seamlessly within each other, striking the perfect balance between form and function. PLEASE NOTE: This class is perfect for members, home potters, or those who are already comfortable throwing on the wheel. This is NOT a beginner- level class. At our studio, we believe that the journey of skill development is just as important as the destination. Our primary focus for intermediate classes is on nurturing your pottery skills, so you leave with a new set of capabilities you can add to your repertoire. The price of this workshop is $75 which includes a two hour demo class in throwing your nesting bowls, as well as an independent studio day for trimming and surface design. On day one, we will meet as a group, and you will throw 3 bowls on the wheel with guided instruction. For the second day of this workshop, you choose a day to come into the studio to independently trim your pieces and add surface designs. We will then bisque fire your pieces, and you'll be notified when they're ready to pick up. Glazing is not included unless purchased separately (see below). A third studio day is available for an additional $40, which includes use of the studio glazes to glaze your pieces. This additional day can be purchased after class. Additional glaze firing fees will apply. Make sure to create an account on our website and book your open studio time.
